Fulham Palace Art Fair October 2011

October 2, 2011

The Palace Art Fair returns to Fulham Palace from 6th – 9th October

The first Palace Art Fair was a great hit with visitors who enjoyed the quality and variety of the art on show. Feedback about the beautiful venue and the friendliness of the Fair, which is smaller and more intimate than some of the huge London exhibitions, was all very positive.

There are over 120 artists exhibiting, showing work ranging from original prints – woodcuts, screenprints – photography, painting, sculpture and textile and ceramic pieces. All our exhibiting artists can be previewed online HERE
If you’d like to come along – there is a private view on the Thursday Evening which is a good opportunity to take your pick of the best pieces of art before the show opens to the public on Friday – A few tickets are available HERE There will be live music, and you’ll be greeted with a glass of wine on your arrival.

Fulham Palace is one of London’s hidden gems. Originally a country retreat for the Bishops of London. This Georgian and Tudor Palace is still an oasis of quiet amongst the hustle of the capital. It boasts extensive grounds, a historic botanical garden, walled kitchen garden with vinery, and lovely terrace with a great cafe/restaurant.

Fulham Palace has recently undergone an extensive restoration programme – with the reinstatement of the moat, the renovation of the vinery, bothy, lodge and stables as well as renovation of the surrounding Bishops Park and Riverside Walk. It’s a beautiful place and well worth a visit.
